Liang Zhao Liang is currently the Head Coach of the Gymnastics Olympica Girls' Team Program. Liang is a former Chinese National Gymnastics Team member. He was the head coach of the Shanghai gymnastics program. Liang has 10 years coaching experience in China and 18 years experience here in the US. Liang graduated from the Shanghai Physical Eduation Institute with a degree in sports science.
Jade Church Jade coaches pre-team, compulsory is heavily involved in our TOPs program. Jade is an excellent motivator and a favorite with all the girls. Jade has many years experience coaching at the competitive level.
Shavahn Church Gymnastics Olympica is very fortunate to have Shavahn Church at the gym. She brings with her immense experience competing at World Championships, Commonwealth Games, European Championships plus NCAA competition. Shavahn currently coaches levels 7-10, dance, plus she does all the choreography at the gym.
Sheila Golenstah- Coach Sheila is a former athlete from Gymnastics Olympica. She currently works with our pre-team groups.
Brittney Grey Brittney is also a former Olympica Gymnast. She works with levels 4-5. Brittney is a level 8 rated judge and plans to work towards her level 10 rating.
Linyao Guo Leo comes to Gymnastics Olympica with a huge amount of experience. He won 2 medals at the 1992 Barcelona Olympica Games, a silver with the Chinese team and a bronze on Parallel Bars. He coached high level athletes in China and has recently relocated to the United States. Gymnastics Olympic is very excited to have Leo's expertise in our gym!
Sarah Korngold - Sarah has been coaching for over 10 years. She has experience with all levels in the gym from parent & tot all the way up to team. Sarah holds her level 8 judges rating and is working towards her level 10. Her goal is help every athlete be the best they can be, in and out of the gym.
Yannick Lafflitto - Yannick received his associate degree in liberal arts and science. He is currently attending Cal State University of Northridge pursuing a bachelors degree in Psychology with a minor in nutrition. He was a gymnast for 7 years reaching level 9 and a member of 4 nationally ranked all-star cheerleading teams. He has been coaching girls competitive gymnastics for over 5 years. Yannick's favorite part of coaching is seeing an athlete's face after accomplishing a skill they have been working on.
Frank Sopapunta Coach Frank has been involved with teaching for over 12 years. His involvement includes every aspect of gym; from coaching preschool and parties to training national team members and owning a gym. His sole focus is to bring the best out of every athlete, in and out of the gym.
